Atta Kim, ein bekannter koreanischer Künstler, versucht, den fotografischen Ausdruck in Zeit und Raum
zu verschieben – im Widerspruch zu unseren linearen Gewohnheiten der Wahrnehmung und der Interpretation
dessen, was wir „sehen“. Er hinterfragt die museale Darstellung des Lebens mit Hilfe „eingeschlossener“
Objekte. Die einfache Gestaltung des Buches und die Abfolge der Bilder veranschaulichen
auf wunderbare Weise Inhalt und Absicht der Arbeit Atta Kims.
Atta Kim, a well-known Korean Artist, is trying to move photographic expression into time and
space, which contradicts our linear ways of perceiving and interpreting what we ‘see’. He has questioned
the museum representation of life as ‘containable’ objects. The simplicity of the Design of this book and
the sequencing of the images beautifully reflect the charter and purpose of Atta Kim’s work.
