Ich bekomme viele Bücher und habe selten Zeit, mich den Neuankömmlingen sofort zu widmen. Aber dieses Buch ließ mir gar keine Wahl. Die Kraft der Fotografie, das intelligent gemachte Layout, die große Ideenvielfalt zum Thema „Wasser“ – seinem Gebrauch wie auch Missbrauch –, die eigenständigen und dennoch mit den Bildern korrelierenden Texte und die Komplexität all dieser Bestandteile, die trotzdem ein zusammenhängendes Ganzes ergeben, – all dies macht es mir leicht, dieses Buch zu nominieren.

I receive many books and seldom have time to immediately sit and carefully consider the new arrival, but this book gave me no choice. The strength of the photography, the intelligence of the layout, the wide range of ideas about “water” and its use and misuse, the independent texts that were nevertheless relevant to the pictures, – and the complexity of all these components, which nevertheless constitute a coherent whole, all make this an easy choice as my nomination.
