„Nosostros: Un Álbum colectivo del barrio de Lavapiés“ (Ein kollektives Album aus dem Stadtteil Lavapiés
) ist ein Sammelalbum, das von den Einwohnern Lavapiés‘, des Quartiers mit der größten ethnischen
Vielfalt in Madrid, aus Fotos und Kurzgeschichten zusammengestellt wurde. Dieses von dem Fotografen
Juan Valbuena für das Institut Casa Árabe herausgegebene Album vermittelt mit Hilfe von Amateurfotografien
aus Familienalben und privaten Sammlungen der aus aller Welt stammenden Bewohner (von
Spanien bis Senegal, von Mexiko bis China, von Italien bis Bangladesh) des Madrider Stadtteils einen
Einblick in das dortige multikulturelle Zusammenleben.
The project Nosostros: Un Álbum colectivo del barrio de Lavapiés (A Collective Album from the
Lavapiés Neighborhood) assembles a collective album from the residents of Lavapiés — the neighborhood
with the largest multi-ethnic population in Madrid — by compiling photographs and short stories associated
with them. Edited by photographer Juan Valbuena for Casa Árabe, the project provides an overview
of this multicultural Madrid neighborhood solely by using amateur photographs that belong to the family
albums and personal archives of these neighbors of all nationalities (from Spain to Senegal, Mexico to
China, Italy to Bangladesh).
